A Week in Texas

I just can’t go to bed without writing a blog post.  It’s been too long and my guilt is gnawing at me to write, even if it’s just a little. 🙂

Does it seem like I’ve been gone a lot? I have.  It seems like I haven’t been home at all in the last month! I’ve been traveling to Arkansas, Texas, down to my family’s house, and everywhere under the sun.

This past week I began the trek to Texas. My initial plan was as follows:
Friday: Grandma’s house
Saturday: BIL and SIL’s house – take maternity pictures
Sunday:  Baby Shower for SIL, drive to in-laws
Mon-Thurs: visit with family
Thurs: Drive to Gma’s house
Fri: HOME.

Things changed quite a bit after I contracted the plague became ill on Friday – so I wasn’t in Texas until a few days later.  While I was there, I was able to just relax and enjoy myself.  I thought I would share a few pictures of the week.

I drove to my in-laws, stopping at my brother/sister in law’s house to drop off a plethora of baby goodies. 🙂 I think she liked the diaper bag. I forgot to take a picture of it for my records, but I was pretty happy with it.

We spent the day enjoying each other and playing.

We drove to Nacogdoches and spent quality time with Granny. This is Todd’s grandmother and she’s wonderful.  Belle had the best time. She was able to chase chickens and peacocks and frighten fish.  She loved every moment of it.

That night, I went to visit with my friend Lindsay.  She’s AMAZING.  We spent hours talking about photography and I walked away with a few compilation CD’s, as well as the new Florence and the Machine album.  I love her way with pictures. She’s also one of the loveliest people I know.  Her apartment is literally the cutest decorated place I’ve ever seen. Love her.

Thursday, I drove to one of my old workplaces to visit with some of my past co-workers.  Sadly, most of the ladies I’ve worked with have moved on to other places, but I was still able to visit and catch up.

Drove to my BIL/SIL’s house. That evening, I tried to take a few shots of her, but it was pretty dark.  We didn’t get as many as I would have liked.

That morning, we went and took more intensive maternity photos for J and C. I kept wishing I could catch the perfect photo that I was looking for, but I am falling in love with photography.  There’s so much I don’t know.  I don’t have many edited photos yet to share, but here’s one from the day. 🙂

I caught Belle mid-throw at their house on Saturday. I love this shot. 🙂

Finally, I was able to get home to my husband.  How I’ve missed him. I am so glad to be home.

So, there’s my recap. 🙂
Now I’m going to bed.

Thanks, girl! I had so much fun taking them. I am so glad I was able to catch that moment. I know that we’ll treasure it.
