The Plague.

Today I am thankful for health.

I feel like the stomach bug/flu should be renamed “The Plague.”

It started on Wednesday – I went to B’s room to discover undigested food all over her crib and clothes.  After a day of many dirty diapers, I thought that she was over it and went to run errands on Thursday while Todd watched her.  Well, he gave her some milk because she was thirsty – a lot of milk – and I walked in the front door right as her stomach decided to reject the offering.

Sigh.

I did a lot of cleaning that day.

On Friday, she seemed to be over whatever was plaguing her so I decided to take off to drive down to my family’s house on my way to Texas to my sister-in-law’s shower.

Enter THE PLAGUE – round two. On the road. Mommy edition.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea this was what bothered her for the last two days.  I wanted to die.  I was so glad to be around my family and that I had someone to watch Bluebelle because I slept for at least 24 hours, waking only to be sick.

Obviously I missed the baby shower.  Never bring illness around a pregnant woman unless you want the wrath of Mom to be brought upon you.

Yesterday B and I was able to make the drive, but I am still weak. That virus was EVIL.

So, yeah, that’s why you haven’t heard much from me lately. I call it The Plague.

On a good note, I hope to be around a little more this week and I am guest posting over at The Paper Mama on Thursday for her 50 DIY Days of Christmas! 🙂 Go ahead and look around her website – she has some great Christmas ideas (homemade vanilla extract, anyone?) and she takes some of the most gorgeous photos.  You’ll get inspired just looking around!

Thankful to be back among the living,
April
