Life is really crazy right now.
It’s weird to get total silence from me, I know, but I haven’t been able to sit down and get on the computer for a while! I just have to remind myself – it’s okay to live life in the real world from time to time. I will be posting a lot of stories in the next few days so I can scrapbook and categorize what is happening. Here is just a brief synopsis of what’s happened over the last few weeks:
March 22-25: We were down in north Texas visiting family and friends. My brother-in-law was preaching his first sermon and we came down to make fun of him. Ha! Just kidding! We came down to support him, of course. We came down early to spend some quality time with one of my dearest friends and we spent the weekend playing games, dancing, eating, and hanging out. It was so relaxing!
March 26-April 2: My family in Oklahoma. We decided to have B’s birthday party down at my grandparents’ house, and since it’s halfway between the family in Texas and our house, we thought it would be best to save gas and not go all the way north. Besides, there was a LOT to do!
March 28: My birthday! I’ll dedicate a short post to this later, but this year was my *star* birthday (28 on the 28th) and my friends surprised me with a fun little get together!
March 31: Bluebelle’s 2nd birthday party! (Whole post about this later)
April 3: We finally got to come home! Our cupboards and fridge were bare, we had laundry to do… but it is SO nice to finally be back home!
April 4: Weird health stuff. Long story short – I thought I was dying. I went to the urgent care doctor where I was absolutely out of my mind with pain – and he simply said I have Gastroenteritis. I call bull. Our insurance is almost completely out – but I think I may have gallstones or something else. This pain was actually worse than labor or a c-section. Seriously. It comes in waves, and I’ve had 5 episodes in the last week – 4 on April 4. So, since I’ve been home, I haven’t wanted to blog!
April 5: Bluebelle turned 2!!! We kept it low-key, because we didn’t want to get all confusing for her to have a crazy birthday party and then have another crazy day and I was still a little weak. We gave her our present (a bunch of puzzles with a puzzle rack and a coloring book) and she immediately put them together perfectly. It was a little disconcerting. Genius kid. 😉 haha! She’s getting so big!
We’ve got some job possibilities on the job front! One is a job offer that starts next month (woo!) and we have several job interviews lined up in the next few weeks! However, that means we will be traveling AGAIN for another week or so. I am really excited to see everyone again, but traveling is expensive! So is keeping a house we are not spending much time in. I don’t have a ton of data on my phone, so that’s why you don’t see me posting a lot of pictures or surfing Facebook!
Okay – so I’ve just condensed over two weeks in less than 600 words. That’s about as brief as I get! 🙂
Keep us in your prayers over the next few weeks – all these things are exciting, but they are tiring. Belle is a great traveler, but as you can imagine — all the diet and schedule changes make these terrible 2’s even more terrible!
I have missed you all so much, friends. Love you.
