Just Between Friends — and a GIVEAWAY!

When you are a mother for a first time, you want to provide your new baby with the best things you can possibly buy.  You want the nursery to be beautiful and serene.  You want to swaddle your baby with the softest blankets.  Whatever your list may be, you have one.

When I was pregnant with Bluebelle, we were living with family.  We had barely one income, and everything new and nice we got for the baby was gifted to us from some of the most amazing family and friends on the entire planet.

However, there were things we didn’t have.  We were lucky enough to have a few people to borrow from, but there were other things we wanted to own. It was during that time that someone told me about Just Between Friends.

Just Between Friends is the nation’s leading consignment franchise. It’s really big. Bigger than any of the other consignment sales I’ve shopped. I’ve loved every consignment sale, but JBF is my favorite. Why? Variety. There’s a LOT to choose from. The stuff is quality. They check every item to make sure it is in great condition and will not knowingly sell anything that has been recalled. If you want to read for yourself, you can check out their guidelines here. They also originated in Oklahoma, and you know that state has a special place in my heart! 🙂

I was able to buy a lot of really nice stuff for little-to-no money and get some big-ticket items that I couldn’t afford at full price.  It really helped me out when I needed it the most.

I kept just about everything from Bluebelle’s infant days, but there are a few things on my wishlist for the next kid: a new swing, a video monitor, a co-sleeper side bed (so that I can nurse easily without any babies actually being IN the bed), and another stroller (you can never have too many strollers!). I’d also love a Beco baby carrier or an Ergo baby carrier!

I’m attending the JBF Sale in Fort Worth (August 30 – September 10!) this year to look for a few of these items and for some fall wardrobe clothes for Bluebelle.  It’s at the Will Rogers Memorial Center – Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall.  I don’t need them now, but if you find a great sale it’s good to snag it while you can! When we get pregnant again, if it’s not another girl, I plan to get rid of all her infant clothes at that time and I’m planning to use Just Between Friends to sell my stuff.

Here’s the best part. Do you live in the DFW area?

I have an opportunity to give away a $15 Gift Certificate for Just Between Friends in Fort Worth!

Entering is easy – you just have to leave a comment telling me something you like to buy resale, or want to buy! Have you ever shopped JBF before? Tell me about it!

Oh and don’t forget– tell your friends! I would love to give this away to someone who really wants/needs it! Enter now through 8/25/2012, 12:01 am EST.

When I was getting ready to be licensed as a foster parent, I went to JBF… I needed to furnish a nursery, plus get all the baby stuff I’d need for a newborn through a five year old!!! I never could have afforded all the things I needed otherwise. I just recently went to the one in Hurst to get more stuff for my Ladybug… including a REALLY nice stroller for REALLY cheap! I LOVE JBF!!! (maybe I’ll see you there this year) 🙂

i love consignment stores. I am a huge fan of the re-purpose of furniture. Baby beds turned into mudroom benches is a classic easy project.

I’ve never thought about that! I like to repurpose things too – but I haven’t gotten into furniture yet!

I always look for things to buy for my nieces and nephews for Christmas and everything is in such great shape. I’ve also found some really great homeschool resources for the little boy I do therapy for. Love JBF!

I love JBF! I plan on buying all my daughters Christmas Presents.

I’m in a re-purpose furniture kind of mood right now, so I would check out their furniture for sure 🙂 And maybe some clothes for the boys. Great giveaway!

I love to by my son’s clothes for the next season. We have found so many great deals at JBF especially on things that cost a lot in the stores like bigger toys, coats, name brand clothes. I can outfit him for an entire season for less than $100.

I went to my first JBF earlier this month in Hurst and found tons of clothing for my babygirl (over 20 entire outfits for $55 on half price day!). I’m going to the FW sale to look for a stroller and clothing for my son. So excited!

I LOVE consignment sales! That’s the only way I’m able to clothe my kids in cute stuff! Landon’s pretty set, but Avery’s needing some fall/winter tops. What a great giveaway. 🙂 Let me know when you’re going; maybe I can meet ya there!

I love JBF because I can find awesome toys and clothing for my daughter and I also volunteer and sell. Selling helps us have a little extra money for christmas this year!
