I’d like to introduce you to Nicole. She is one of the funniest bloggers I know — and she’s just as hilarious in real life! She has a passion for sweet tea, missions, and apparently fortune cookies. 🙂
I can’t wait to hug your neck again in December, Nicole!
Hey Red Dirt fans!!!!!!!! My name’s Nicole and I blog at Three 31. When April emailed me about providing a guest post, I was still in Haiti on a mission trip. As soon as I returned home, I went through my inbox and found her sweet invitation. She and I met a few months ago at a DFW Bloggers event and I instantly fell in love with her sweet spirit and kind soul. Lucky for me, we’re both attending another bloggers’ event in December for dinner, drinks, and a holiday ornament exchange. Waaaaaaaaaahoooooooooo!!!!!!!
Hi, my name is Nicole and I need therapy. I am obsessed with fortune cookies. Recently, I cleaned out my purse and, located in the bottom, side pockets, and in the coin purse of my wallet, were lots of little strips of paper from Chinese fortune cookies. I didn’t realize my obsession with collecting little bits of wisdom from a crunchy cookie!
Here are a few of my favorites …. and a few more details about me:
If you have a streak of crazy in your veins, feel free to add “in bed” at the end of these. You can bet your sweet britches that I, miss immature, did too!!!!!
I’m open to new opportunities, especially if the possibility involves a paycheck. What kind of craziness can we find ourselves in?!
Professionally, this is a grand slam statement. I have such a diverse background: a degree in public relations and journalism; spent several years in corporate marketing and business development; I’m a certified teacher; and, I’ve also worked in human resources.
Does it involve Christian Grey driving an Audi or piloting Charlie Tango?
I should have warned y’all that I am the modern-day Dr. Ruth and my love for all things 50 Shades is immeasurable.
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
Check out this post from my recent mission trip to Haiti!!!!!! This was my second trip to the impoverished nation and it was an amazing experience. While I wouldn’t trade my first trip for anything in the world, this one was very different in a very good way.
Despite my loud personality, I have self-esteem issues and I’m very worried about what people think of me. I’m also a chronic people-pleaser. I am working very hard on these issues of mine, including saying “no” in order to focus on personal relationships.
This sounds exciting. =)
Well, I did go to Haiti and as hard as the mission team and I worked, we played even harder. We spent two afternoons at private beaches supporting the local economy (ahem, food and drinks) and being kissed by the Caribbean sun. The views were amazing too.
I prefer handwritten correspondence but emails work in a pinch. I like to think I’m someone who writes heartfelt messages to friends and family. I also like to send “just because” cards for the one simple reason: to put a smile on someone’s face.
Despite my issues and obsessions with 50 Shades and fortune cookies, I hope you’ll stop by my blog, Three 31, and say hello sometime.
April, I hope you enjoy your vacation and I can’t wait to hug your neck in December!!!!
